I live in rural Nova Scotia with my husband, 9 year old son and one very excitable standard poodle. We have an assortment of very spoiled free range chickens who provide us with a steady supply of fresh eggs and entertainment. I am new to gardening but have jumped in with both feet and am really enjoying it.

I’ve worn many hats over the years but the one that I’ve always desired the most, but never dared reach for, was that of artist. Circumstances and fear have held me back. But circumstances have changed, and it’s time to confront my fears, so here I am! Blogging about my life and art as I strive to become the artist I’ve always wanted to be.

  1. Where in rural Nova Scotia?

  2. Hi Christina. Hope to visit Nova Scotia someday. Small place called Bateston harbours many distant relatives!

    • Hi Simon, that’s in Cape Breton, I’ve never been to that end of Nova Scotia but I hope to explore the highlands sooner than later. Perhaps this year or next. If you make it this way, drop me a line. Perhaps we can meet for tea 🙂

  3. Your blog is inspiring and a thumbs up for About section.

I have been travelling a lot lately, that is my passion and I always wanted to write about the places I visit. But it’s never too late. I will write more.

    I will be a follower.

    • Hi Robin! I’m just taking a break from Facebook again. It was taking over my life and I wasn’t getting any painting done. I’ll probably go back once I feel I’ve got some productivity happening on a regular basis 🙂 I’m glad you found the blog. I don’t post here very often. But you never know, I might get back to it now that I’m not busy “liking” posts on fb 😜
